Featherlite Trailers named #1 livestock trailer manufacturer

CRESCO, Iowa (March 15, 2012) – Featherlite Trailers was recognized as the number one manufacturer of livestock trailers in 2011, as determined by data from Statistical Surveys, Inc.

This is the fifth consecutive year Featherlite has received this award. Featherlite is the nation’s oldest aluminum specialty trailer brand, having built its first aluminum livestock trailer in 1973. In addition to livestock trailers, Featherlite manufactures horse trailers, car trailers, utility trailers, ATV trailers, racecar transporters and other specialty trailers.

Statistical Surveys is a premier provider of market intelligence to the trailer, marine, manufactured housing and RV industries. They specialize in the ongoing gathering of new retail registration data in these industries and have created the world’s largest number of market share data reports. Featherlite’s award was determined based on retail registrations of livestock trailers in 2011.

“We thank Statistical Surveys for recognizing Featherlite’s leadership in the livestock market,” Featherlite Vice President of Sales & General Manager Eric Clement said. “Featherlite looks forward to serving farmers and ranchers with hauling options that are durable, reliable and innovative for years to come.”

Featherlite recently unveiled its 2013 product line, including its new low profile five foot wide stock trailer Model 8105 and a fuel trailer Model 1570. New options for Featherlite stock trailers include an internal and external rotary slam latch and a side ramp on Model 8127 for easy loading of an ATV through the escape door. In addition, Featherlite introduced a new 10-year limited structural transferable warranty on 2013 models.

Featherlite livestock trailers, which include gooseneck trailers, bumper pull trailers, combo trailers and semi livestock trailers, are sold through Featherlite’s dealer network of 160 across the U.S. and Canada.

New 2013 models unveiled at Featherlite:
Mobile cooling station, ‘Flex Foot’ ramps, service/fuel trailer & more!

CRESCO, Iowa/March 1, 2012 — Featherlite Trailers’ product development team had the word ‘unique’ on their minds when developing the new line up of 2013 Featherlite trailers, which were introduced this week to the Featherlite dealer network as part of the annual 2-day Featherlite Dealer Meeting. When visiting local dealers, trailer buyers will have even more distinct models to select from, as well as enhanced features and options that offer more value, convenience and safety.

Model 2013 Featherlites will be available at Featherlite dealerships beginning in April. Orders for 2013s can be placed at Featherlite dealerships now. In addition to new features and options, 2013 model year Featherlites also now come with a 10-year limited structural warranty.

Unique trailer designs and functions
In addition to livestock trailers that enhance farming operations, Featherlite is excited for its newest offering for farmers – a service/fuel trailer. The Model 1570 is a compact trailer that can be easily transported to fields to fuel and service equipment on site, saving time for farmers. The standard trailer is four feet, 11 inches wide and nine feet, four inches long. It includes a 540 gallon fuel tank with baffles in the tank to reduce fuel movement and a sight gauge. It also includes a gasoline powered transfer pump, 25 foot long retractable hose reel with fuel nozzle, fuel filter, drain plug and enclosed compartment with lockable doors. “We also expect the trailer to be popular with those in the construction industries who will use this trailer on job sites,” Featherlite National Sales Manager Randy Lewis said.

Another new option for commercial operations is the Model 3119 mobile cooling station. The trailer, with its canopy top, will serve as a shaded area for workers in oil fields or other job sites to cool down. The trailer features two bench seats that run the length of the trailer with water storage tanks underneath. An array of options to customize the trailer are offered, including a drinking water station, eye wash station, first aid kit, misting fan, sink and more.

For landscapers, farmers and contractors, Featherlite has developed a new slide-in dump body Model 1659 that easily fits in the back of pickup trucks. Modeled after the trailer version, Model 1520, the dump body can haul anything from gravel to metal scraps to wood chips and more. It’s raised and lowered with a hydraulic lift cylinder and pump and comes with a standard double pivoting removable tailgate.

Designed for lighter hauling by hobby farmers and 4-H families is the new Model 8105, a low profile five foot wide stock trailer. It’s 14 feet long and four feet, six inches tall and includes a standard wood floor, full swing center gate with slam latch, full swing rear gate with lockable slider and escape door.

A pop-up option is now available on Featherlite enclosed car and rec/utility trailers that compresses the trailer vertically. With the trailer lower to the ground, it increases the visibility behind the tow vehicle and makes the trailer easier to tow and more aerodynamic. It also makes indoor storage of the trailer easier. Two options – manual or electric – are available for lowering the trailer, which gives it a height of approximately four or five feet, depending on the option selected.

Options car and race enthusiasts will love
“The custom car and race car markets continue to be an important part of Featherlite’s business,” Lewis said. “So for our 2013 model introduction, we developed new models and options we think car owners will really appreciate and better meet their needs for versatility.”

Among the product developments is a new Model 3109 open car hauler designed especially for dirt track race cars. Based on feedback from race car owners, the all-aluminum car trailer has an open center for easier access to work underneath the car while on the trailer. The trailer includes two 5’ long ramps that store under the trailer. It also features an aluminum treadplate floor, and an optional storage box in the front of the trailer with doors is available.

Three’s not a crowd with Featherlite’s new Model 3150 wedge trailer. The new trailer can haul up to three vehicles and is ideal for use by trailer and car dealerships and other commercial haulers. Available in lengths of 50 and 53 feet, it includes 16 stainless steel swivel D tie downs, skid resistant extruded aluminum floor, 25K coupler and two nine foot long ramps, among other features.

Other new features and options on Featherlite car haulers include:

  • New "Flex Foot" ramps are now standard on Model 3110. When using the 3110’s ramps on an uneven surface, a pivoted triangle at the end of the ramps will conform to the ground and make loading and unloading easier.
  • A new ‘Quiet Slide” option is available on ramps of open car hauler Model 3110 to reduce rattling and noise while driving down the road.
  • For transporting wider vehicles, a drive-over fender option is offered on 24-foot Model 3110. There is also an option for extra width, 82” fender to fender, which equips the trailer with full width side walls that are 18 1/2” tall.
  • A new raised platform with beavertail option is available on Model 3110. This configuration will better accommodate larger vehicles and equipment.
  • Butcher block countertops and a unique cabinet design are optional in Featherlite’s enclosed car haulers.

Convenience a standard
Last fall, Featherlite consolidated many of its horse and livestock trailers to make ordering and selecting a trailer easier for customers. Other convenient options for 2013 Featherlites now include:

  • A new heavy duty spring is standard on horse trailers with slant dividers, which makes using the dividers easier and it strengthens the hold backs.
  • An optional multifunction touch screen wireless remote is now available to make operating living quarters more convenient. It controls several functions, when equipped, including power awnings, slideouts, front jacks and the porch light.
  • A convenient optional remote control unload light allows trailer owners to easily position the light to help with maneuvering the trailer or unloading at night.
  • An optional side ramp kit for Featherlite stock trailer Model 8127 is designed for easy loading of an ATV for use on the farm. The option widens the escape door to 50 inches and includes two separate ramps to attach.

New 2012 stock trailer options include Rumber® flooring that gives livestock firmer footing

CRESCO, Iowa (July 26, 2011) – An expanded selection of options for Featherlite stock trailers helps to maximize the comfort and convenience for both owner and animal.

Emerging as a popular option for 2012 models is Rumber® flooring. The Rumber floor serves as a cushioning surface for livestock, giving them firmer footing and minimizing the risk of injury and stress on joints. It’s also quieter for livestock when entering the trailer, will increase the value and life of the stock trailer due to its durability and is UV and water resistant. Rumber manufactures its flooring from 100% recycled tire rubber and plastics.

Another new flooring option, Featherlite’s Firm-mat, completely seals the trailer’s floor and provides a padded, slip resistant surface that is impervious to liquids and eliminates the need for rubber mats. It’s also easy to clean and quieter for livestock when loading. A textured industrial liner designed for livestock or a 1/2” thick textured option, popular in horse trailers, is available.

Selected options are now also offered on Featherlite’s “lite” priced Model 8117, previously not available with added options. Options include tire and axle upgrades, additional height, plexiglass, halogen load lights, dome lights, single 2 speed jack landing gear and various rear and center gate options.

Other new options for 2012 stock trailers include:

  • Camera & Rear Motion Sensor – The introduction of a camera and rear motion sensor makes maneuvering a trailer and backing up easier and safer for the driver. This option operates similar to what is found on selected vehicles by alerting you when the rear of the trailer is near an object or person.
  • Aluminum Wheels – Stylish aluminum wheels in dark gray or silver are optional on Featherlite trailers.
  • Back Lit Feather – An optional back lit feather is available on the front of Featherlite trailers, making the recognizable feather stand out even more going down the road.
  • EZ Connector – The EZ Connector’s electrical connection system ensures a reliable connection so that lights and brakes will work each time regardless of the conditions. This high-tech plug for vehicles and trailers is magnetically attached, corrosion free and waterproof with a no-fail breakaway feature and lifetime limited warranty.

Designed by Palm, the trailer “is completely unique…designed by a woman especially for women riders,” said Palm, who holds 34 reserve and world championships and four American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Super Horse titles.

The Lynn Palm Signature Edition trailer, a modified two-horse straight load Model 9406 bumper pull, has been in the design phase at Featherlite engineering for months. The first one came off the line this month and was delivered by Featherlite to Palm. It will be on display at WEG.

Among the horse trailer features and conveniences, Palm has included innovations that focus on the safety and comfort of her horses as well as trailer ease of operation. Features include a mechanized air transfer system in the horse area that keeps consistent and substantial airflow circulating around the horses. Light Emitting Diode (LED) interior strip lighting and lined white walls in the horse area keep the space lighter and more soothing. Butt and chest bars are padded and “Air-Flo” saddle racks are installed in the tack area.

“I love the solid build that Featherlite trailers have,” Palm said. “I feel that my horses are always safe. I love the space and air circulation that the horses get, and I always know that their health is not jeopardized. I love how quiet Featherlite trailers are and know that my horse travels in comfort.”

Trailering is made easier on the Signature Edition with electrical tongue lift jack and keyless entry to all camper doors. Halogen exterior load lights and additional clearance lights are included for safety, especially during night travel and loading.

The Signature Edition has dual colors, a load ramp and double rear doors with windows and pressure latches. The larger dressing room has a cedar-lined wardrobe closet to protect clothing, a padded boot box and full-length mirror.

Customers can pick among individual options that Lynn Palm has recommended for this edition, or choose a special pre-selected package of features.

“There is so much more for women and their horses in the Lynn Palm Signature Edition Featherlite,” Palm said. “All that I have learned trailering horses and travelling the continent to competitions, events and clinics is included in this trailer.”

Featherlite Review

New Featherlite Model 3112 performs multiple hauling tasks

CRESCO, Iowa (May 17, 2010) – Featherlite’s trailers perform many tasks from hauling cars to skid loaders to landscaping equipment and more, and Featherlite’s newest trailer, open car hauler Model 3112, is a master of all. This new 3112 “multi-tasker” is a gooseneck version of Featherlite’s popular Model 3110 bumper pull trailer and is suited for use by car enthusiasts, contractors, landscapers and farmers or for everyday hauling.

Available in 20, 24, 26 and 30-feet lengths and measuring 8 feet 6 inches wide, Model 3112 features two 7-feet long ramps that store underneath the trailer. Model 3112 is equipped with stainless steel swivel “D” tie downs for easily securing cargo, removable fenders with stainless steel fender latches and a skid resistant, durable aluminum extruded floor. The rear of the trailer features sleek and highly visible LED lights. Model 3112 is comparable to many flatbed trailers but offers a lower loading height. With its gooseneck configuration, the Model 3112 is available in longer lengths in comparison to Featherlite’s bumper pull Model 3110.

Optional features for the 3112 include the skid loader package, full width fold-up rear ramp, aluminum tool box, winch with remote control and recessed tire storage. The 24’ Model 3112 is also available with Featherlite’s power lift tilt package that easily raises and lowers the trailer by an electric lift.

“Featherlite’s new Model 3112 is designed to be extremely versatile, easy-to-tow and full of great features and options,” Featherlite National Sales Manager Randy Lewis said. “Plus, Featherlite’s aluminum trailer construction gives owners unmatched durability and performance that can last for many years of hauling.”

Featherlite Trailers’ 2011 product line puts customers ahead of the curve

CRESCO, Iowa (March 17, 2010) — Featherlite Trailers’ 2011 product line showcases the continuous improvement that keeps Featherlite—and its customers—ahead of the curve.

“Every year we introduce new innovations and improve on our existing features,” Randy Lewis, Featherlite’s National Sales Manager, said. “We don’t just want to be at the front of the pack—we want our customers to be ahead of the curve.”

Over 35 new models and enhancements, unveiled at Featherlite’s International Dealer Meeting, are now available for order through Featherlite’s dealers. They range from refinements of existing features to innovative multi-purpose new models.

Livestock trailers: increased convenience, comfort and safety
Featherlite’s 2011 product line offers trailers specifically designed for its core markets. Farmers and ranchers are sure to notice Featherlite’s new “Lazer” stock trailer with its distinctive rounded air spaces. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, the “Lazer” also features a smooth, flush interior that is easy to clean.

Livestock owners are also sure to notice the new options and features available on Featherlite stock trailers, especially while transporting animals. An improved airflow system option ensures livestock receive enough air and helps regulate temperature. While loading and unloading, the new anti-skid option helps prevent animals slipping. A more streamlined pin option helps secure the center gate slam latches during travel.

Featherlite has also made its Model 8107 stock trailer even more convenient with a removable wall option. This provides a dressing room area when the trailer hauls horses, yet it still allows trailer owners use of the entire trailer when transporting livestock.

Stock owners looking for show trailer options have some eye-catching features to look forward to. The Model 8191 hog/sheep topper now has polished wave panels as an option. In addition, gooseneck stock trailers can have their noses covered in treadplate for a unique look.

Lite prices, enhanced options and features on horse trailers
Horse trailers have also received significant improvements in Featherlite’s 2011 product line. “We are keeping horse trailer owners ahead of the curve by giving them more for their money,” Lewis said.

Featherlite has also put a lot of effort into the new horse trailer features and options. “We think they are sure to excite horse owners as much as the new models will,” Lewis said.

Horse trailer Models 8541 and 8581 now come standard with .040 white aluminum lining. This brightens the horse area, calming horses, and gives the interior a more finished look.

“Many of the new features and options we introduced are designed to make the horses’ journey calmer and more comfortable,” Lewis said. Larger windows behind the horses are now standard on slant load models, increasing the light and airflow in the trailer. New nylon bushings on horse dividers reduce vibration for a quieter ride. And the new stall divider options increase airflow and look sleeker in the bargain.

The Model 9407 horse trailer has been redesigned to feature a new “lite” price. It is similar to the Model 9409 horse trailer, but the 9407 offers horse owners a straight load bumper pull instead of a slant load. A removable center post and pipe hardware gives trailer owners greater versatility in cargo loading and towing.

One of the new Featherlite horse trailer models gives customers a standard horse trailer without a dressing room. The Model 8527 features an open space between the horse area and the gooseneck. It also comes with a standard rear ramp, a removable bottom half divider on the first stall and a telescoping rear divider.

Some options are aimed at making horse owners lives easier. A new optional saddle rack made of aluminum piping stays more securely in place during heavy travel and usage. Additional dressing room sizes and living quarters make relaxing at the end of a long day easier.

Trailers for caterers, event planners, outdoor lovers
Some jobs require a special trailer, like the new custom cooler package for the Model 1610. This enclosed trailer has a 1.5 ton split refrigeration system with insulated walls and doors to help maintain the temperature. A 4’ cold weather fluorescent light fixture makes locating frozen cargo easy. This trailer is ideal for anyone needing to haul perishables, including meats or other groceries. According to Lewis, This package is “sure to be a favorite with event planners and caterers.”

Featherlite has also released two new recreation/utility trailer sizes.  The Model 1611 is available in a more compact 7’ width. The Model 1609 “Mod Pod” trailer is another trailer with a new configuration. The 5’ height and 10’ length offers storage and hauling that is both secure and convenient.

“This trailer is great for campers, hunters and cyclists,” Lewis said, “but it is ideal for everyday hauling, too.”

New options for recreation/utility trailers include a side ramp on the Model 1693 for more versatile loading and unloading. Open utility trailers now also feature a new spring loaded pin for ramps that is easier to use and more secure. Snowmobiles, ATVs, motorcycles and even riding lawnmowers can be loaded and unloaded with less hassle and less worry.

Multitasking workhorses
The new Model 1520 dump trailer is one of Featherlite’s new multi-task trailers. This versatile utility trailer is sure to prove its worth to landscapers, contractors and even farmers. Its 24” deep box can haul anything from gravel to metal scraps to wood chips. For easy unloading, the box raises and lowers on a hydraulic cylinder. The dual action rear gate can be lowered for more cargo space or unhitched at the bottom for easier dumping.

Another trailer designed to be a multi-purpose machine is the new Model 3112 open gooseneck car hauler. With a lower loading height and a lighter price than other comparable flatbeds, this trailer can haul a skid loader or a 1967 Alfa Romeo with equal ease. The 3112 comes standard with a skid resistant durable aluminum floor. It can be outfitted with many of the same options as the Model 3110 car hauler, including the popular power lift package.

New “Lazer” stock trailer from Featherlite Trailers continues innovative trend

CRESCO, Iowa (April 5, 2010) — Featherlite Trailers’ 2011 product line, unveiled at its International Dealer Meeting in February, featured several eye-catching trailers. One of them is the new “Lazer” stock trailer.

Unlike other Featherlite stock trailers, the “Lazer” features rounded air spaces. This provides livestock owners a distinctive look. The “Lazer” boasts more than a distinctive appearance, though. It is built with aluminum sheets on the inside of the trailer’s structural side posts instead of being welded to the outside of them. The result is a smooth, flush interior that is easier to clean—an advantage for any trailer farmer or rancher.

“Every year we introduce new innovations, such as the ‘Lazer,’” Randy Lewis, Featherlite’s National Sales Manager, said. “We don’t just want to be at the front of the pack—we want our customers to be ahead of the curve.”

The “Lazer” is available in lengths of 20’, 24’ and 28’. It has a standard 7’ width and rides on tandem rubber torsion axles with electric brakes. Like all of Featherlite’s 2011 models, the “Lazer” has new LED clearance lights, featuring a new rounded design. These new lights are smaller, brighter and easier to replace if needed.

All 2011 models are available for order at any one of Featherlite’s 180 dealerships. For more information about all of Featherlite’s 2011 products and features, visit Featherlite online at

Featherlite’s Model 1520 dump trailer makes unloading cargo easier

CRESCO, Iowa (March 30, 2010) — Featherlite Trailers is once again distinguishing itself from its peers with the new Model 1520 dump trailer.

The Model 1520 also boasts Featherlite quality and durability. Its treated plywood trailer bed stands up better to the wear and tear cargo can inflict, from scrap metal to firewood. And it benefits from the sturdy, lightweight all-aluminum construction that is the hallmark of Featherlite quality.

The 1520 is available as a 5’ by 8’ single axle or 6’6” by 10’ tandem axle trailer.

Featherlite Trailers’ Model 8533 horse trailer now offers more choices in living quarters and dressing rooms

CRESCO, IA (April 16, 2010) — Featherlite Trailers unveiled several enhancements to their existing trailers during its recent International Dealer Meeting. Among these are a greater selection in the sizes of dressing rooms and living quarters of the Model 8533 all-aluminum gooseneck horse trailer.

The Model 8533 is already known in the trailering world for its durability and attractive price point. Now, customers have the choice of a 74”, 96” and 124” dressing room package. Customers may also select the standard 46” dressing room package.

“Different horse owners have different space requirements,” Randy Lewis, Featherlite’s National Sales Manager, said. “These expanded dressing room options mean that customers don’t have to buy more trailer than they need.”

For horse owners who want to spend a weekend riding, Featherlite also offers three new Sierra living quarters packages. An 8’ living quarters package and a 10’ living quarters package are available. The 10’ living quarters package comes with or without a 6’ slideout.

“The well-appointed living quarters option is designed to make the Model 8533 the most attractive horse trailer at this price point on the market,” Lewis said.

The 8533 comes in a standard 6’7” width with an inside height of 7’0”. It comes in lengths ranging from 14’10” to 28’4”.

Featherlite gives customers more for their money with “lite” priced horse trailers

CRESCO, Iowa (April 12, 2010) — Featherlite Trailers’ 2011 horse trailer line up holds the company’s dedication to continuous innovation and improvement. While many of these improvements are immediately eye-catching, some reserve their attraction for when the customer looks at the price tag.

“We are keeping horse trailer owners ahead of the curve by giving them more for their money,” Randy Lewis, Featherlite’s National Sales Manager, said.

One of the new “lite” priced trailers is the Model
9407 bumper pull horse trailer. The 9407 has been redesigned and is now built using the same methods and extrusions as the Model 9409 horse trailer. However, the 9407 offers horse owners a straight load horse trailer rather than the 9409’s slant load. A removable center post and pipe hardware gives trailer owners greater versatility in cargo loading and towing. The 9407 has a standard length of 14’1” and a standard 6’7” width.

Featherlite is also offering new options for the
Model 9409. The dressing room now has two additional sizes for its short wall – 3” and 24”. The 9409 is now also available in a four-horse configuration. This new configuration’s length ranges from 19’3” to 23’4”, depending on the dressing room size chosen.

Featherlite Trailers named #1 livestock trailer manufacturer

CRESCO, Iowa (March 11, 2010) – Featherlite Trailers was recognized as the number one manufacturer of livestock trailers in 2009. Featherlite was presented the award, which is determined by data from Statistical Surveys, Inc., on March 4, 2010, in Reno, Nev., during the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers’ (NATM) Convention and Trade Show.

Statistical Surveys is a premier provider of market intelligence to the trailer, marine, manufactured housing and RV industries. We appreciate the trust they have in us and look forward to offering trailers that are of superior durability and reliability and that enhance their farming operations.”

Featherlite’s car trailer options meet racers’ needs

CRESCO, Iowa/November 16, 2009 — Car owners can now better design a trailer that meets all their needs, thanks to Featherlite Trailers’ 2010 car trailer options.

Among these options is a front-mounted slide-out that adds additional space to the Model 4926’s optional living quarters. This option lets the trailer take up less room than it would with side-mounted slide-outs.

Featherlite also offers expanded color choices to make a racer’s car trailer stand out from the rest. Green, yellow, orange and brandywine side panels are available on all models. If a single color trailer doesn’t stand out enough, customers can select the tri-color option to really give their trailers an eye-catching look. Plus, new optional aluminum wheels are corrosion-resistant and add an extra dash of style.

Safety and convenience meet versatility in Featherlite’s Model 3110
New 2010 options make trailer suitable for construction and landscaping in addition to car hauling

CRESCO, Iowa/October 15, 2009 — Featherlite’s 2010 offerings include some significant new options for the Model 3110 car trailer. These new options not only increase the 3110’s standing as a car trailer but also make it an excellent choice for construction and landscaping.

One such option is the hydraulic lift package that tilts the trailer’s deck, eliminating the need for a ramp. This makes loading and unloading cars and construction vehicles safer and more convenient.

The 3110 also has landscaper options that include a frontal storage rack for front loader attachments. In addition, an optional side rack can store landscaping tools such as weed trimmers.

In order to better accommodate heavier items like front loaders, the 3110 now sports a 2,200# ramp capacity, versus the old 1,700#. Flush mounted pin LED lights provide greater visibility on the road.

CRESCO, Iowa/October 7, 2009 —At this month’s All American Quarter Horse Congress, Featherlite’s show display will include many new “lite-priced” horse trailers, while still offering horse owners Featherlite’s all-aluminum durability plus distinctive luxury choices. “Featherlite’s newest generation of horse trailers originates from a desire to offer more value to horse owners who are faced with a challenging economy yet are still focused on the safety and care of their horses and don’t want to sacrifice reliability and quality,” Randy Lewis, Featherlite national sales manager, said.

Leading the line up of new Featherlite trailers on display at the Quarter Horse Congress (Congress) is the Model 8533 gooseneck horse trailer introduced this spring that now has even more options including a 2-horse configuration and a weekender living quarters. A Model 8533 combining both new options will be on display at Congress. The 8533 measures an easy-to-tow width of 6’7” and has Featherlite’s new standard feature – chrome glass windows. The weekender living quarters in the Model 8533 offers the options of a bed in the gooseneck, shower/toilet combo, overhead cabinets, single stainless steel sink, countertop, wardrobe closet, in cabinet refrigerator, microwave and other amenities.

“Featherlite’s 8533 horse trailer is designed for the recreational horse owner with its lower price point and the option for a small living quarters, yet it still affords a horse owner the durability and value of Featherlite’s all-aluminum construction,” Lewis said. The starting retail price for the Model 8533 is $18,404 with the living quarters starting at $27,105.

Another solution for price-conscious horse owners is Featherlite’s new Model 8417, a combo horse/stock gooseneck trailer. The new combo trailer also measures 6’7” wide and is available in lengths of 16’ and 20’ and with a slant or straight wall dressing room. The trailer comes standard with a wood floor, wraparound LED lights, an aerodynamic tapered gooseneck and full swing rear gate. “Two other new lite-priced horse trailer models, the 9405 and 9409, plus our livestock Model 8117 are also new for 2010, plus pricing on most Featherlite models has never been more attractive,” Lewis said. “While we’ve developed more economical hauling options, we’ve still kept focus on the quality, easy-tow and durability of a Featherlite trailer. In addition, all horse trailers now come with Featherlite’s new mirrored “chrome” glass windows.”

On the other end of the spectrum, horse owners still have the option of customizing their trailer with eye-catching and unique options with the Featherlite PerfectFit™ System. New Featherlite stock trailer options provide style and safety

CRESCO, Iowa/October 12, 2009 — When Featherlite Trailers planned its 2010 stock trailer options, its main goal was to stack great looks on top of superior durability. “We wanted to outdo ourselves,” Randy Lewis, Featherlite’s national sales manager, said.

To that end, Featherlite has released options that really make its stock trailers exceptional. Customers now have four new colors from which to select: green, yellow, orange and brandywine. Corrosion-resistant aluminum wheels are another option that add an extra dash of style.

Featherlite’s options aren’t just about flash and style. The new “Step Safe” rear gate option is designed to be safer for your livestock, and their owners too. “Step Safe” center gates, previously introduced in Featherlite’s 2009 models, are already effective in preventing livestock slippage, and the new rear gate option makes loading and unloading livestock even safer.

Featherlite Announces Aggressive Product Launch Despite Tough Market

New innovations, exclusive features top the list

Cresco, IA/June 10, 2009 – Featherlite® Trailers’ 2010 offerings suggest this is a company as tough as its products. Instead of adopting a “stay the course” attitude for 2009, Featherlite has unveiled new trailers, new options and bold new customer benefits.

“At Featherlite, we think the proper response to an underperforming economy is to over-perform,” Randy Lewis, Featherlite’s national sales manager, said. “We wanted to outdo ourselves with both product innovation and customer benefit.”

Bold innovations

Among Featherlite’s biggest innovations are the new “Step-Safe” rear gates, featured in their livestock trailers. Featherlite is offering this popular option for their rear gates in addition to the center gates. “Step-Safe” gates help prevent livestock slippage, and they’re convenient for farmers and ranchers too.

The new transferrable warranty program also showcases Featherlite’s commitment to the customer. Featherlite’s eight-year limited warranty now stays with trailers when traded in at a Featherlite dealer for a new Featherlite trailer.

Rounding out Featherlite’s star innovations is the new power lift package on the 3110 car trailer. This option tilts the trailer bed down to the ground, eliminating the need for ramps. It’s a feature that will especially appeal to farmers, contractors and landscapers.

More standard features

The 2010 Featherlites also come with new standard features. One of these eye-catching features is offering chrome glass windows as standard equipment. This feature was previously restricted to Featherlite’s premium Medalist trailers, and it adds a lot of style to trailers. Standard chrome glass is a feature unique to Featherlite—no other company provides this!

High quality, high value

Featherlite has pioneered innovative new manufacturing techniques, creating models that are more economical for trailer owners. These trailers will still provide all the essential features consumers have come to expect from a Featherlite.

Among these new trailers are the 8117 stock trailer and the 8414 and 8415 combo trailers. Featherlite has also applied these new innovations to an existing trailer, Model 8107, making it even more affordable.

Sierra “Lite” Living Quarters will be welcome to trailer buyers on a budget, too. This option is for horse trailer owners who want frugality without sacrificing all the frills.

Exciting new options

Trailer buyers will love Featherlite’s extended options. WERM flooring eliminates the need for rubber mats, yet still offers a padded ride for horses. And options such as new color selections, tri-color trailers, painted “wave” side panels and aluminum wheels give trailers an eye-catching look no matter where people go.

Ice fishing, campers and truck beds

Featherlite is aggressively targeting niche markets with their new releases. North American residents above the Mason-Dixon Line will love the “Freedom” trailer for ice fishermen. This comfortable trailer boasts sofa and swing-down beds, a kitchenette, bath and a flat screen TV. It also has fresh water and electricity inputs, and a hydraulic lift lets the trailer sit flush against the ice. Why get bored waiting for the fish to bite?

The Freedom serves double duty in the summertime as a toy hauler, perfect for ATVs, motorcycles or bicycles. It also makes a wonderful trailer to take on extended camping or hunting trips.

Another trailer well-suited to outdoor activities is the 1609 “Mod Pod,” especially with its new camper package. The “Mod Pod” transforms from trailer to camper in minutes and is tough enough to take off the beaten path. This is a trailer for cyclists, hikers and other explorers.

Also new for 2009 is Featherlite’s redesigned radius-style pickup truck bed. The bed offers a “headache rack”, stake pockets and a trap door to install a gooseneck or fifth wheel connection.

For more information about all of Featherlite’s 2010 products and features, visit Featherlite online at www.fthr.com or call 1-800-800-1230.

Featherlite partners with exciting new series ‘Saddle Up with Dennis Brouse’ on PBS
Show combines training techniques with heartwarming stories

CRESCO, Iowa/December 23, 2008—Featherlite Trailers is excited to announce its partnership with Saddle Up with Dennis Brouse, a new television series that celebrates the relationship between horse and human that will debut in January of 2009. The first season of this 13-part series will debut on PBS stations across the country.

The host, Dennis Brouse, is a highly respected and experienced horse trainer. “Whether you own a horse or just love to watch them in the movies, we’ll explore our storied partnership with this magnificent animal,” Brouse said. “The series will appeal to everyone from the serious horse owner to the arm-chair rider. We’re grateful to public television and our sponsors American Cowboy, Featherlite, Fund for Horses and Gold Buckle Network for making this possible.”

Shot in high definition (HD), each episode will showcase a specific training question or situation addressed by Brouse with the horse's owner. This training thread is integrated into each show as a means to increase the audience’s understanding of horses. Special features will take viewers on a powerful and emotional journey into the horse world, highlighting everything from the mounted police to hippotherapy, along with segments on special breeds and classes of horses.

A Featherlite living quarters horse trailer will be used during the production of the show. “Featherlite is proud to support Saddle Up with Dennis Brouse and their great work conveying the compelling stories of the relationship between horse and rider,” Randy Lewis, Featherlite national sales manager, said.

Brouse has been working with horses since the age of 14. After spending time learning to train horses “the old fashioned way,” he quickly realized that he was at odds with this method. Since 1996, Dennis has spent thousands of hours studying and fine-tuning his training methods. In 2002, he produced his first series of training tapes, and shortly thereafter produced a television show that aired on RFD-TV.

Saddle Up with Dennis Brouse is produced by GlassOnion Productions and distributed by Executive Program Services (EPS). Horse enthusiasts are encouraged to check their local public television station listings for air times, or contact their local station (http://www.pbs.org/stationfinder/stationfinder_relocalize.html) to make sure this program is shown in their area. Featherlite launches new websites created for today’s trailer customers

CRESCO, Iowa/November 10, 2008—Featherlite Trailers has launched two new interactive websites that are more kinetic and “customer-centric” than ever before. Enhancements include the Featherlite Online Trailer Builder, Request a Quote and Model Comparison features, among many others, as well as a complete aesthetic redesign.

One of the new sites, http://www.fthr.com, focuses on Featherlite’s consumer trailer models – car, recreation, livestock, horse and commercial/utility. The second site, http://www.featherlitespecialty.com, spotlights the dynamic Featherlite business-to-business segments. This includes the famed Featherlite racecar transporters used by NASCAR, IRL and other racing sanction teams. The major portion of the site illuminates the extensive capabilities that Featherlite has designing and manufacturing dynamic mobile facilities for business, corporate, government and professional sports organizations.

Both sites use audio and video extensively to tell the story of the product lines of the nation’s leading aluminum specialty trailer brand, which this year celebrates the 35th anniversary of its first all-aluminum trailer.

One of the most interactive elements of the new Featherlite consumer website is the Featherlite Online Trailer Builder. This online trailer configurator has been implemented for horse trailers first with the other product lines to follow in the future. Online visitors answer a series of questions to receive trailer matches based on their hauling preferences. They can then alter the trailer’s color online before perusing through many popular trailer options to add to their horse trailer.

Throughout the process, the pricing summary will change based on the user’s selections. Upon the completion of building their horse trailer, the web viewer can automatically email their summary of selections to their nearest dealer for the dealer’s best pricing. Or they can print the summary and take it into their dealer for their best deal. The configurator also includes save and send to friend features.

“The new Featherlite web resource will provide customers a smooth, highly intuitive and visually exciting journey,” according to Featherlite spokesman John K. Hall, director of marketing communications. “Visitors can hear and see comments by Featherlite owners addressing key issues of interest to trailer shoppers. Visitors also can review the attributes of Featherlite trailers interactively, selecting elements on which they most want information.”

The new fthr.com website also includes additional means of communication with customers’ nearest dealers, like a feature that allows visitors to get a quote from their closest dealer on a specific model. An enhanced dealer finder allows people to search for their dealer by zip code, state or country. Featherlite has also conveniently added a Google Map for visitors to get directions to their nearest dealer.

According to a survey by the Pew Internet Project, 81% of Internet users look for information online about a service or product they are thinking of buying. “In the 35 years since Featherlite introduced its first trailer, the ways trailer buyers look for information has changed dramatically,” Hall said. “With the new Featherlite websites, we’re allowing trailer buyers instant access to information that is important in their purchasing decision.”

Other additions to the new website include a model by model comparison where potential trailer owners can compare up to three trailer models side by side and print the comparison. Web users will also find tips for selecting a trailer, common trailer terms and definitions and overall more information on Featherlite models, features and options.

Featherlite’s product line of car, recreation, livestock, horse and commercial/utility trailers are sold through an international dealer network of 220. Featherlite specialty trailer are sold through Featherlite’s corporate headquarters, located in Cresco, Iowa.

“This not only is the biggest custom horse trailer allowable on the road—spanning 53-ft. from stem to stern and 13-ft. 6-inches tall, it will be the most stunning,” said Randy Lewis, Featherlite national sales manager. “This trailer will be decked out with over 90 special options—and that doesn’t even include those in the living quarters.”

This horse trailer model, which will be on view at the Featherlite outdoor display across the street from the Quarter Horse Congress Annex building, has massive luxury living quarters with four slide outs that dramatically expand the interior space. Behind the owners’ living quarters is an upper-deck three-horse slant load plus one-horse straight load configuration. If no horse is transported in the straight-load stall, there is enough room to garage a golf cart or ATV for the trip.

The western-style Featherlite Sierra living quarters is 33-ft. long and has all the amenities of a luxury condo. Interior features include a slate-finished fireplace, copper sinks, a breathtaking kitchen and a ceiling adorned with ostrich saddle leather trayed with silver tin coffers. Visitors enter this massive trailer with entrance steps of ceramic tile. Inside they will see custom leather furniture, hand-scraped old barn hickory floors in 5-inch planks, cedar-lined closets and a 32-inch flat screen TV that emerges from behind the mantle with a remote-control power lift. It also has solid surface countertops and shower and solid maple cabinetry. Outside the trailer has a self-seeking satellite dish, Girard awning and custom graphics among many other features.

On the other end of the spectrum, Congress visitors can see a completely new Featherlite configuration, “Warm Blood” Model 9407 two-horse bumper pull. This special straight-load configuration has no mangers and carries its lowest price point ever.

Need a place to relax between rides? You’ll want to see the Featherlite “Wii®”-configured trailer. This 23-ft. double slide has a rear bedroom that doubles as an entertainment suite. It sports a leather fold-out electric couch, a wet bar and a Nintendo Wii. You can play friends and family in the room or online. Want more? There is also a Wii gaming console outside on the trailer! Visitors can stop by the booth and sign up for the Wii Tournament during Congress with prizes awarded to winners.

Dynamic dual-color Featherlite trailers are finding an intense following after their official introduction at the 2008 Featherlite International Dealer Meeting. At Congress Featherlite introduces a number of equine trailers with dual-color side sheets. These striking trailers promise to stop viewers in their tracks at shows and events.

Among the other introductions at Congress will be the “Euro” Featherlite that incorporates features enjoyed by international horse owners into Featherlite’s distinctive American platform. The Euro Featherlite is configured so that horses can be loaded from the rear and unloaded through the front. Mangers are engineered into both trailer sides for extraordinary storage capacity. And a large “vending” door is positioned in the front of the trailer. The door lifts up on a horizontal hinge to allow more light and air to flood into the horse area, creating a more compelling environment for horses that are sometimes hard to load.

Among the other Featherlites to be on display is a bumper pull living quarters with a front slide out and a Medalist Series with polished Wave sides, frameless windows, heavy-duty 2-inch double seal feed doors and LED strip lighting inside the horse area among other special features.

“We have never introduced so many new trailer configurations at Congress,” Lewis said. “We believe visitors will enjoy seeing these--and the rest of the “big ideas” from Featherlite.

“This is an exciting event for us. It showcases the skill and knowledge of the people at Featherlite who actually make these extraordinary trailers. And it demonstrates that no other trailer manufacturer in the nation can do what Featherlite does.”

Featherlite’s display spaces at Congress are inside in Congress Hall and outside across the street from the Congress Annex. For more information call 800-800-1230 or visit the web at www.fthr.com/tnews.

An interview with Universal Trailer Investor and Board Member Paul Zepf

CINCINNATI, Ohio/May 30, 2008

In February 2008, Universal Trailer Corporation President and CEO Tom Frey announced that Corporate Partners II [CP] had invested $45 million in newly issued equity of Universal Trailer Corporation [UTC], thereby becoming UTC’s largest shareholder. UTC is the largest specialty trailer manufacturer in North America. The Company manufactures a wide selection of trailer and motorcoach products. Its brands are Haulmark, Haulmark Motorcoach, Featherlite, Exiss, Sooner and Miley. Paul Zepf, a Managing Principal of CP, talks about his firm’s recent investment in UTC. Mark Wicks of GateHouse Media Inc. is the interviewer. Below is a summary of Paul Zepf’s remarks (edited for clarity).

GateHouse Media: How do you view Corporate Partners II’s [CP] relatively new status as majority shareholder of Universal Trailer Corporation [UTC]?

Paul Zepf: After its first hundred days as UTC’s largest shareholder, Corporate Partners II has seen a unique strength emerge through the alliance of a large investment firm and the leading American specialty trailer company. From a number of perspectives, including capital resources, having an investment fund the size of Corporate Partners’ in support of Universal Trailer is unique in the industry.

GateHouse Media: What attracted CP to an investment in this trailer company?

Paul Zepf: We were attracted to UTC based on the strength of the company’s products and management, and its leading market positions.

GateHouse Media: The overall economy being what it is, how has UTC performed?

Paul Zepf: Despite a difficult economy and high commodity prices since we first made our investment, UTC is performing in‐line with our expectations, largely the result of the steps management has taken to adjust to the current environment.

GateHouse Media: What stands out since CP entered into the relationship?

Paul Zepf: In the past four months UTC has showcased new product innovations at each of four dealer conventions, launched national retail promotions and brought greater efficiencies to its manufacturing facilities in seven states.

GateHouse Media: How does CP function managerially with UTC?

Paul Zepf: We made the investment in UTC to support the company and the management teams at each of the [divisions]. We bring to the table substantial capital resources and management counsel, and provide assistance in strategic development, both internally and through potential acquisitions. Going forward, these additional resources should position Universal Trailer well ahead of others in the competitive marketplace.

GateHouse Media: What do you see looking forward?

Paul Zepf: The first four months held few surprises. We did a lot of work and spent months researching the industry and Universal Trailer Corporation before investing. From this effort, I believe we developed a good understanding of the industry, the market environment and each of the UTC subsidiaries. The current market is challenging and metal prices have spiked upwards, but UTC management has made adjustments to operate profitably in this environment. Corporate Partners II expects to continue to work with UTC to build on its existing strengths. This relationship can effect higher performance in the current environment as well as in the coming upturn. Our efforts will continue to enhance our important relationships with our distribution partners and end customers.

Featherlite introduces 2009 ‘PerfectFit’ Living Quarters with striking new décor selections plus other enhancements

CRESCO, Iowa/May 8, 2008 — Featherlite® Trailers continues to transform the traveling and buying experience of horse owners with the introduction of striking new 2009 décor options now available through the popular PerfectFit™ System. Plus, Featherlite has expanded its options with recent enhancements to its entire horse trailer line.

PerfectFit Living Quarters
The PerfectFit System is a new process that allows the horse trailer to be designed around the horse owner and their horses, without the custom price. Previously featured only on select living quarters models, it is now available on Featherlite’s entire line of horse and livestock trailers.

Along with the introduction of the expanded PerfectFit System, Featherlite has many new décor options available. In 2007, Featherlite first partnered with Sierra Custom Interiors to produce Featherlite’s entire line of living quarters interiors, which continues today.

Among its new options is an expanded selection of cabinet woods including Aged Paulownia (dark oak), Farmyard Hickory, Moving Walnut and Trinity Oak, in addition to the traditional choices. There is something for everyone in the 2009 assortment of fabric selections for seating or valances including extra this year, a medley of upgraded exotic leather seating options, featuring a number of animal patterns.

Standard flooring is linoleum, which in 2009 models features more stone walk qualities. Upgrades to ceramic or hardwood are available.

In addition to cabinets, flooring, seating and valances, major selections for new living quarters customers are wall covering, ceiling and countertops. After designing the “look and feel” of their interior, the customer will move on to other amenities such as entertainment options. A popular entertainment choice for many living quarters owners recently has been the stereo with DVD and surround sound and optional XM satellite radio. Other popular options include an electric fireplace, electric awning with wind sensor and remote control and the dishwashing drawer option. A new option for 2009 models is a retractable screen door that is more desired by some living quarters owners.

“The PerfectFit System makes the selection process of interior options and floor plans much easier for customers when they meet with their local Featherlite dealer to order their living quarters,” Featherlite National Sales Manager Randy Lewis said. As always, if a customer doesn’t want to go through the selection process, dealers have a range of living quarters inventory on their sales lots for customers to select from.

With the new PerfectFit, customers will see the consolidation of Featherlite’s living quarters models down to one model with more options, the Model 8581. “Our previous model offering was larger and more complicated, but each of the models was more limited in its selections,” Lewis said. “The PerfectFit System puts the focus more on the configuration, layout and functionality of the trailer. The customer ends up getting more choices and superior value.”

The process begins with the customer selecting their required number of horse stalls, the short wall length and the width of the trailer. Then dealers will let customers pick from a wide array of interior floor plans and the major décor options before focusing more narrowly on specific features and options. This continues until the trailer meets their exact requirements.

New options
Horse owners have exciting new options when configuring their Featherlite horse trailer including a redesigned swing out saddle rack and polished ‘Wave’ side panels. New Medalist Series options include dramatically distinctive frameless windows and heavier duty feed doors.

Enhancements made to Featherlite’s standard features include a new rubber hold down that more securely holds the feed door in place when in the down position during hauling. In addition, Featherlite’s ‘Wave’ side panels were enhanced to include a new trim that further completes the distinctive look of these sleek aluminum side panels.

“Styling and convenience were the focal points for the new options and features selected for our 2009 models,” Lewis said.

For more information on the 2009 models available now, see a Featherlite dealer or call 800-800-1230 for a brochure or go to the Featherlite website at www.fthr.com/tnews.

Featherlite New ‘PerfectFit™ System’ Matches Customer to ‘Perfect’ Horse Trailer at a Lower Price

CRESCO, Iowa (Oct. 12, 2007) – Owning a horse trailer that is designed around the particular, detailed needs of the customer has never been easier, thanks to a streamlined new system unveiled today by Featherlite Trailers. Deemed the “PerfectFit™” System, it takes the customer through an easy 7-step process that culminates in a “perfect trailer match” for them and their horses.

“I guess you’d say we’re in the matchmaking business,” Featherlite National Sales Manager Randy Lewis says with a smile. “Every horse trailer customer has a different idea what they want in their trailer because each horse owner is unique in their own way. They know their horses have individual requirements, too. So we adapted our system to create the “perfect” horse trailer for each individual

“The beauty of the new Featherlite ‘PerfectFit’ is that the customer can get a trailer customized to them but doesn’t have to pay a custom price.”

The PerfectFit System is available on all Featherlite enclosed horse trailers including 9-ft. living quarters and under.

Featherlite dealers also have many horse trailer models in stock on their sales lots. The PerfectFit System allows them to more accurately pre-order popular models with the most wanted accessories.

To focus on the horse trailer model that is best for them, each customer can go down a list of seven questions with their dealer. “Do you want a gooseneck or bumper pull” is the first, followed by questions on load type, stall size, number of horses, preferred width and height and size of dressing room. From there the customer can select from an almost unlimited array of features and options.

“Featherlite trailers come with a lot of superior features standard—including patented slam latch dividers for security, Light-Flo feed doors for better ventilation, striking new “Wave” panels, L.E.D. lights for style and visibility and now dynamic wraparound rear lights, to name a few,” Lewis said. “Beyond those, many horse trailer customers want more choices so their trailer becomes unique to them. Featherlite is pleased to offer a selection unmatched by any other horse trailer manufacturer.”

Featherlite is the nation’s oldest aluminum specialty trailer brand. Its aluminum uni-body construction is known for extraordinary towing ease, extreme durability with only routine maintenance, continuing innovation and advanced safety features that help protect animals during transport.

Featherlite unveils new ‘super durable’ 2007 SURVs designed for avid outdoor enthusiasts

It’s a traveling ‘home on the range’ with new features and garage

CRESCO, Iowa / July 17, 2006 – Outdoor activities – from riding ATVs, motorcycles and dirt bikes to maneuvering dune buggies to hunting and fishing – continue to grow in popularity. With that growing popularity are people’s desires to travel to their recreational activities for days at a time and still feel at home. Featherlite’s Sport Utility Recreational Vehicles (SURV), including its new 2007 models, features and options, continue to offer that luxury to outdoor enthusiasts.

Featherlite, the leading manufacturer of NASCAR race car transporters, has built its legendary hauling capacity and impressive durability into every SURV model.

Featherlite’s new SURV for 2007 is Model 7925. A bumper pull, the 7925 is 28-feet long and includes a cargo wall, which creates a 10 ½-feet length in the garage and cargo area. “The cargo wall allows for a separate area from the living quarters for hauling and storing ATVs, motorcycles, dirt bikes, dune buggies, off-road vehicles or outdoor equipment,” Featherlite National Sales Manager Randy Lewis said. “It means a neater, cleaner, more efficient space all around.”

New Model 7925 comes with a standard goucho sofa and dinette in the living quarters portion, in addition to a refrigerator, cooktop stove, restroom with shower and toilet, vanity with sink, closets, colorful graphics and more.

In addition to the new Model 7925, Featherlite’s SURV product line includes Models 7924 and 7943. Model 7943 is available in 24, 28 and 32-feet lengths plus the length of the gooseneck. New for 2007, the 28 and 32-feet lengths, are available with the “garage wall package” that creates the cargo wall that separates the garage and living area. Model 7943, as well as Model 7924, each include two fold-down benches, a refrigerator, cooktop stove, restroom with shower and toilet, vanity with sink, cabinets and an optional pull down queen bed in the rear. The 7943 also includes a bed in the gooseneck.

New standard features now available on all Featherlite SURVs include cargo netting that is above all overhead cabinets in SURVs with the cargo wall, which allows for additional interior storage space. Also standard is Featherlite Gripstar rear ramp lining that is designed to grip the tires of the recreational vehicle for a smooth, slip-resistant entry into and out of the garage area. The SURVs also come with a 100-gallon fresh water tank, a porch light and lighted grab handle at the entrance of the living quarters, a new sliding shower stall door, a wall mounted thermostat and six tie downs per trailer for securing cargo.

“In addition to hauling motorized recreational vehicles, Featherlite SURV trailers are perfect for hunters, fishermen, rock climbers and other outdoor enthusiasts for hauling all their outdoor gear while on trips away from home,” Lewis said.

Many new options are available with Featherlite SURV trailers including 110-volt flat screen TVs, electric double queen beds, a portable exterior grill, 20 gallon fueling station and exterior speakers. Featherlite SURVs come with a standard Route 66 décor package, but SURV owners can also choose from Featherlite’s Red Glory, Simulated Pine and Simulated Oak décor packages.

Featherlite has been building all-aluminum trailers since 1973 for hauling cars, ATVs, snowmobiles, motorcycles, horses and more. Featherlite also manufactures race car transporters for leading professional race car teams and is the official trailer of NASCAR.

“Unlike some toy haulers that are made of steel, fiberglass or wood, Featherlite’s SURV trailers are manufactured with premium, corrosion-resistant aluminum that is lighter, more durable and easier to tow,” Lewis said. “Featherlite’s construction allows for heavier load capacity and more years on the road. In addition, Featherlite SURVs have a lower floor height that makes loading motorized recreational vehicles and equipment easier.”
